The Best Supercar Drives on the Gold Coast

Within 45 minutes of Surfers, the hinterland road network through Tamborine, Springbrook and the Currumbin Valley sustains serious driving for a full day. These are the five drives we recommend most.

1. Tamborine Mountain Loop

Surfers or Broadbeach via Nerang up to Tamborine Mountain. Lunch at Gallery Walk. Return via Beechmont. Roughly 150km round trip.

2. Springbrook National Park Loop

Via Mudgeeraba up to Springbrook plateau. Include Natural Bridge and return via Numinbah Valley. ~130km round trip.

3. Currumbin Valley Drive

From Currumbin or Burleigh inland through the Currumbin Valley back to the coast. Compact, tight, scenic. Good half-day route.

4. Byron Bay Day Trip

South along the Pacific Motorway to Byron. Roughly 160km each way — needs a 150km-daily-allowance vehicle or a multi-day booking.

5. Full Hinterland Day

Combine Tamborine and Springbrook into a single 220km day. Early start, Tamborine lunch, Springbrook afternoon, Natural Bridge evening stop. Great weekend use of a Lamborghini STO, McLaren 720S or Ferrari 488 GTB.
