Gold Coast Supercar Hire This Summer: What to Know Before You Book

The Gold Coast is the fastest-growing part of Prestige Luxury Rentals, and summer is why. From late October through March, our Gold Coast weekends run at close to full fleet capacity, with interstate visitors, international travellers, weddings, events and locals all chasing the same cars.

If you're planning a Gold Coast trip this summer, here's what you need to know about the fleet, delivery, the best ways to use a car on the coast, and how far ahead to book.

We hold a core Gold Coast fleet year-round, built around Lamborghinis, Rolls-Royces and G Wagons, plus a rotating line-up from our national fleet. If the car you want isn't based on the Gold Coast, we can usually transfer it from Melbourne or Sydney with 48 to 72 hours' notice.

In summer, don't rely on that window. Transfers need the car to be free in its home city too, and peak season is peak season everywhere. Tell us the exact car and dates as early as you can.

Most of our Gold Coast bookings start at a hotel. We deliver supercars directly to hotel valet in Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, and we cover Main Beach, Burleigh Heads, Mermaid Beach, Palm Beach, Hope Island and Gold Coast Airport (OOL) as well.

Flying in? A chauffeured arrival from OOL, or a self-drive car handed over at the airport, means your holiday starts at the terminal rather than the taxi rank.

The yacht and supercar day. This is the Gold Coast signature: a morning drive, then an afternoon on the Broadwater. Our concierge team books both together most weekends.

The casino night. Chauffeured arrival at The Star Gold Coast in Broadbeach, with dinner at Kiyomi or Nineteen at The Star, and a car waiting to take you home.

The helicopter transfer. Gold Coast Airport to Hope Island, or Surfers to the hinterland, by air. Our concierge team can have a car waiting when you land.

Two periods on the Gold Coast calendar deserve a special mention. Schoolies brings high demand from mid-November through early December, and summer weekends book months in advance. If your trip lands in either, book early. If you have flexibility, midweek dates are always the easiest to get the exact car you want.

The quieter months are the opposite story. Winter on the Gold Coast is far easier for availability, and still dry and mild enough for a great drive.
