How Far Can You Actually Drive on a 100km Daily Allowance?

Every rate in our fleet comes with a daily kilometre allowance: 100km on most supercars, 150km on selected SUVs and AMG models. It's the number clients most often skim past at booking and most often ask about on handover morning. This post is what 100km and 150km actually get you, mapped against the drives people book these cars for.

The pattern is deliberate. Focused supercars and the flagship luxury cars run 100km. Performance sedans, SUVs and the Corvette run 150km.

The allowance is per 24 hours and it accumulates across the length of the booking. This is the single most useful thing to understand about our rates.

• One day in a Huracán: 100km
• Two days: 200km
• Three days: 300km
• Three days in a G63: 450km

So the real question isn't "can I do the Great Ocean Road on 100km." It's "how many days do I need to book to do the Great Ocean Road properly."

• The Black Spur out of Melbourne, Healesville to Narbethong and back
• The Dandenong Ranges, Kalorama through Olinda to Sassafras
• The Currumbin Valley drive on the Gold Coast
• A city weekend: dinner, a casino arrival, photos, a Sunday morning run
• The Mornington Peninsula back beach loop, Red Hill to Flinders, if you're starting from the southern suburbs

• The Great Ocean Road. Torquay to Apollo Bay alone is 90km one way.
• The Blue Mountains from Sydney, roughly a 200km round trip.
• Byron Bay from the Gold Coast, roughly 160km each way.
• The Springbrook loop (around 130km) or the Tamborine Mountain loop (around 150km).
• A full Gold Coast hinterland day, around 220km.

For any of those you're either booking multiple days to stack the allowance, choosing a 150km vehicle, or budgeting for excess kilometres.

1. Book more days. A three-day supercar booking gives you 300km and the car for the whole weekend. This is what most of our drive-focused clients do.
2. Choose a 150km car. If distance is the point, the Corvette Stingray ($1,400), the G63 ($1,500) and the E63s ($1,100) give you 50% more range per day at a lower rate than any supercar in the fleet.
3. Pay the excess. Excess kilometres are chargeable, and the rate is confirmed at time of booking.

You want the Ferrari 488 GTB, and you want the Great Ocean Road.

• One day at $2,500 gives you 100km. Not enough.
• Three days at $2,500 = $7,500, with 300km stacked. Workable if you plan the route.
• Three days in a Corvette Stingray at $1,400 = $4,200, with 450km stacked. Comfortable, with room spare.

Neither answer is wrong. It depends on whether the car or the road is the point of the weekend.
